The Media Follows Kerry's Lead

A prominent member of the mainstream press has followed John Kerry’s lead and attacked the American military this week. Seymour Hersh at a talk given in Montreal said “If Americans knew the full extent of U.S. criminal conduct, they would receive returning Iraqi veterans as they did Vietnam veterans, Hersh said. “In Vietnam, our soldiers came back and they were reviled as baby killers, in shame and humiliation,” he said. “It isn’t happening now, but I will tell you – there has never been an [American] army as violent and murderous as our army has been in Iraq.” The full court press is now on to make Iraq fit into the Vietnam mold from Kerry maligning the troop to now Hersh with the same type of allegations from the Vietnam era. I will give a link to the full story of any and all who wish to read the full article as it appeared in the paper http://mcgilldaily.com/view.php?aid=5450. The American people can not let this happen again to our brave men and women of the armed services so please don’t let this go unchallenged.

A World Gone Mad

The current war Israel finds herself in shows just how crazy the world has gone. The topic of almost every news cast is the civilian causalities that have taken place with each new engagement. Now you may be saying this is not a bad thing it is a part of war and the public should know about it. I would concede that point except one thing they are almost always talking about Lebanese civilians and not Israeli and are taking the word of Hezbollah a terrorist group on the number of causalities. This would have been like talking to the Nazis and letting them tell you about how the allied bombing was killing innocent Germans and it must stop now. The press and the world community must remember that the terrorist are using them to spread their propaganda. The terrorist hide among the civilians and dress like them and fire rockets from civilian locations so how do we know who the civilians are and who's fault is it really for the causalities. I submit that it is the terrorist who put the people in the crossfire.

The Struggle Ahead

THE STRUGGLE AHEAD

The events of the past few weeks in Israel should show western civilization the type of struggle we are engaged in. The war against Islamic Jihadist is not just between the United States and al-Qa’ida, but between the western civilization and all jihadist. This is what is called a great war, a war that will change the ordering of the world either toward 7th century Islamic rule or an even greater spread of democracy. The problem is that not everybody realizes what we are in the middle of and think that 9/11 was just a fluke. They believe that we can negotiate with groups like Hezbollah and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade. The thing of it is these groups are not fighting for land or just against one nation. These groups want to spread there philosophy to all the world and want nothing more than to put an end to western civilization. They do not approve of our personal freedoms, nor our economic freedoms. The fight we are currently in is no less a world war than was WWII. Think of it like this the only difference is that the Nazis are not in one country and are not wearing uniforms. They are instead disbursed through out the world and hide in the civilian population. There headquarters are in apartment buildings, munitions in homes or mosques. The old way of meeting on the field of battle for the most part does not apply. The consequences of their actions are the cause of civilian causalities. The blame is not on the country that faces this evil but on the groups that hide among the people. The people of the world have to wake up and realize the enemy we are fighting and the way we must fight them. The lost of innocent life while tragic is not a reason to shy away from confronting the enemy. All we can ask is the we take all prudent measures to limit civilian causalities ,but we must do what ever is necessary to defeat the jihadist. We can not stop short or go home before the job is done. Total victory must be the goal and anything less can not be accepted nor tolerated. This is the call of the current generations and we will answer that call. I leave you with this part of the poem Ulysses from Lord Alfred Tennyson “

Tho’ much is taken, much abides; and tho’

We are not now that strength which in old days

Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;

One equal temper of heroic hearts,

Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will

To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.”
